A three-year fully-funded full-time PhD studentship at the Open University is available
from 1st October 2009, closing date 3rd April 2009. Prospective students are urged to get
in contact for informal discussions as soon as possible.
This PhD project will focus on the area of Music Computing, encompassing
any of: music composition, performance, analysis or music education.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to
Music computing and pervasive interaction,
Embodied music cognition and its implications for music computing,
Evolutionary Computing,
Computer-based generation of music.
You should be a capable programmer. A strong interest in music, and musical skills are
essential.
